The official poster for Disney’s upcoming movie Mulan has been released.
Billed as a live-action remake of the original animated 1995 film, it stars Liu Yifei as Mulan, a young girl who defies tradition and the law by posing as a man in order to enlist herself into the Imperial Army as a replacement for her sick father.
The 1995 classic was an inspiring tale of a woman’s courage and the story was made better by the beautiful rendition of memorable songs. Disney is hoping that the remake will equally be remarkable.
The official poster sees the titular character strike a fighting stance, sword in hand with the wind in her hair. It’s the perfect dose of awesomeness and fans can see that for themselves below.
Mulan is directed by Niki Caro and the cast list includes Liu Yifei, Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Jet Li, and Yoson An.
