It’s rare that a preseason basketball game garners this kind of attention.

But when Lonzo Ball suits up next to LeBron James for the first time, and the Los Angeles Lakers face the Golden State Warriors, there’s plenty of opportunity for excitement.

Playing in front of a Las Vegas crowd, the Lakers and Warriors did not disappoint.

It didn’t take long for Ball and James to put their first highlight together.

Klay Thompson missed a three-pointer for the Warriors with six seconds left in the second quarter. Javale McGee snared an unopposed rebound, then found James who had hustled his way to the left wing, just across mid-court.
