A Lagos High Court in Ikeja sentenced leader of a robbery gang, Muritala Salami, to death by hanging.

Justice Adenike Coker on Thursday convicted Salami, leader of a four-man robbery gang, guilty of conspiracy and robbery.
He was arrested on April 16, 2016.
During trial, prosecuting counsel Dr. Jide Martins told the court that the convict and members of his gang conspired and robbed one Mr. Okocha Anthony Afiam of two phones and two wristwatches.
While Salami was arrested by police, his accomplices escaped.
