Vanessa Hudgens Under Fire For ‘Heartless’ Coronavirus Message

Vanessa Hudgens has been blasted after seemingly shrugging of the fact that thousands of people have been killed by coronavirus.

As she talked with fans about the COVID-19 outbreak in an Instagram live session, Vanessa twisted her face as she said it’s inevitable that people will die.

Almost 8,000 people around the world have already died from coronavirus.

The former High School Musical star, 31, was deemed “heartless” as she altered her voice in a way that seemingly made light of the awful situation.

In a video taken from her Instagram live and reposted on Twitter, Vanessa appears to be answering questions from fans about coronavirus.

She says: “Um yeah ’til July sounds like a bunch of bulls**t, I’m sorry, but like it’s a virus, I get it, I respect it, but at the same time, like even if everybody gets it, like yeah people are gonna die, which is terrible but like inevitable.

“I don’t know, maybe I shouldn’t be doing this right now.”

The person who shared it wrote: “What a horrible and heartless message for you to share with the younger people who look up to you @VanessaHudgens”

Someone else replied: “The selfishness of these kids is infuriating. Some of us have loved ones who are extremely vulnerable.”

Another wrote: “Vanessa is inconvenienced and wishes people would hurry up and die, so she can get her life back. How charming.”

And another posted: “This will haunt her for the rest of her life. To laugh at this unthinkable tragedy, with an almost unimaginable scale of suffering. Unconscionable.”

Vanessa then tweeted: “Hey guys. I’m so sorry for that way i have offended anyone and everyone who has seen the clip from my Instagram live yesterday.

“I realize my words were insensitive and not at all appropriate for the situation our country and the world are in right now. This has been a huge wake up call about the significance my words have, now more than ever.

“I’m sending safe wished to everyone to stay safe and healthy during this crazy time.”
