Ronald Fenty thought he wouldn’t survive COVID-19, and while he lives in Barbados, his famous daughter still found a way to constantly check up on him.

Apart from the frequent phone calls, Rihanna sent her dad a ventilator to help with any potential breathing problems. The two of them haven’t exactly had the best relationship but when it came down to it, Rihanna showed that blood is indeed thicker than water.

Ronald spent no less than two weeks in the Paragon Isolation Center in his native island of Barbados where he was treated.

Fully recovered and back home, he spoke with The Sun in an interview, recalling the scary experience and revealed how his daughter cared for him.

“My daughter Robyn (Rihanna’s real name) was checking in on me every day. I thought I was going to die, to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn. She did so much for me. I appreciate everything she has done.”

Turns out that Ronald didn’t need the ventilator as it was the fever that affected him the most as he didn’t have difficulty in breathing.

Speaking further, he said:

“I got a fever up inside my nose. I had a fever across my lips. It was just a lot of fever. I feared the worst. I thought I was going to die, honestly.”

Rihanna has purchased many ventilators for her home country as Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley announced last month that she had sent more than $700,000 worth of ventilators to aid everyone affected by the coronavirus in the region.
