A surveillance footage showing a chef spitting into a dish at a restaurant has surfaced.
The incident took place yesterday, Sunday May, 17, 2020, at the Sufuji Restaurant in Xi’an following the easing of the lockdown in the country.
A customer reportedly gained access to the video clip after discovering the butt of a cigarette in a stew he had ordered.
He complained about it to the restaurant and while watching the surveillance footage, was shocked to see the chef cooking without a face mask and then proceeding to spit into the dish in the restaurant kitchen.
In the video which can be seen below, Mr. Zheng says: “You can see in the surveillance footage very clearly that the chef bent down to spit into the wok especially.”
