Singer D’banj was invited to Abuja for questioning by the police following the messy rape scandal involving Seyitan.
Seyitan Babatayo recently released an official statement about the harrowing experience she had after being detained by D’banj following her rape allegations against him.
Punch reports that the artist was grilled by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Adaku Anya, at the Force Criminal Investigation in Garki, Abuja.
A top police source made the following comments about the development:
D’Banj has been questioned twice at the FCID, Abuja. He was questioned last week and also this week. We will leave no stone unturned as we investigate the matter.”
The report also reveals that Seyitan was also invited to make a statement but couldn’t make it as she had no means of making the trip to Abuja. She instead opted to visit a police unit in Lagos.
In her official statement, Seyitan had said that D’banj and his cohorts still harass her with incessant calls and that the singer had boasted that he could buy anyone in Lagos over to his side.
