Ameerah Sufyan on Tuesday raised an alarm via her Twitter page that she was kidnapped by gunmen in Police uniform and almost 24 hours after, she is yet to be rescued.

The daunting Ameerah shared her location after she was kidnapped with her WhatsApp contact and went further to announce it on her Twitter page.

“Please whoever has my WhatsApp number, I sent a broadcast message of my location. We were abducted at gunpoint by [people] with police uniforms and a van from our houses from different parts of Abuja. We’re 17 including 3 pregnant women and two little kids. They didn’t see my phone,’ she wrote.

In another post at 3:36 pm, about two hours after the previous, Ameerah said the victims had been divided into separate groups.

She has not posted anything afterwards.

Reacting to the development in a series of tweets, the FCT police command said the investigation had begun into the incident.

The command added that operatives have been deployed to track the victims, and urged everyone to remain calm.

In the early hours of Wednesday, Ameerah reportedly shared a new location with her WhatsApp contacts. A Twitter user, Fatima, claimed to have received the message said in a tweet.

She said, “Ameerah’s phone is still On, she broadcast messages to her Whatsapp contact earlier, and yet the security agencies aren’t saying nor doing anything!! Wallahi, this country has fallen us!! 💔💔😭😭 Please pray for Ameerah and others 🙏🏽🙏🏽”
