The Halo singer has been trying to trademark the name Blue Ivy Carter since 2017 when she and her husband filed for the trademark.

Turns out that at the time, Veronica Morales, a woman who runs a wedding planning business had already started using the name, and refused to give up her company’s label.

Beyonce was not ready to give and allegedly tried to secure the rights for her daughter’s name again. She argued in a court motion that she should win the case because her daughter is a “cultural icon.”

Morales retaliated by stating that though she had respect for the singer, she didn’t think Blue Ivy Carter was a cultural icon, saying:

“That would be someone like Benjamin Franklin, Elvis Presley or Marilyn Monroe. Celebrities need to follow the law like everybody else.”

The businesswoman also sparked theories about Beyonce and Jay-Z belonging to The Illuminati by revealing that the name ‘ Blue Ivy’ spelled in reverse is ‘Eulb Yvi’, meaning ‘Lucifer’s daughter’ in Latin.

Morales explained:

“Many members of the general public believe the Carter’s are members of the so-called ‘Illuminati,’ and the name of their daughter spelled backward is “Eulb Yvi” which in Latin is translated to ‘Lucifer’s Daughter.’

Her remarks made a lot of headlines as the celebrity couple has been rumored to part of the mysterious organization for years.
