Master mimics Ikorodu Bois are going to the premiere of Netflix’s Extraction 2!
What started out as a hobby has metamorphosed into a global phenomenon as the mimicking acts of the comics known as the Ikorodu Bois have paved a way for them to Hollywood.
On June 24, 2020, the Bois uploaded a video clip of an impression of some of the action scenes from the movie Extraction (which starred Chris Hemsworth), and the Russo Brothers (the directors of the highest-grossing film of all time, Avengers: Endgame) were so impressed that they have invited the performers to the premiere of the sequel.
In the video (which is trending on Twitter), the Bois begin with the scene that has Hemsworth’s character get up and jump into a pool of water. Submerged, he begins what can be said to be a meditative process.
The Bois’ imitation is hilariously spot-on, with of course the usual contrast of having to work with the props they have at their disposal.
The video achieved its goal because apart from the Russos, lead star Hemsworth commented, “EPIC!”
We are so proud of the Ikorodu Bois as they have obviously gone international (and it’s only the beginning).
