Nigerian Celebrities Should Learn From Cardi B – Mr jollof

Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, popularly known as Mr Jollof his a Nigerian comedian and politician shared his take on American rapper, Cardi B’s visit to Nigeria 

Mr. Jollof used this as an opportunity to warn Nigerian celebs to learn from the international rapper who had a very good time with fans in the country.

He complained about Nigerian celebrity and how they are too pompous to relate with their fans, unlike Cardi B who is a Grammy award winner.

Many celebrities in Nigeria are known for their fifty shoulder pads, what other people will refer to as pride but Cardi B visit was a whole new experience, as she mixed well with her fans and had a wonderful time. She was quite sorry she had to leave the country and I guess Nigerians were not happy she left.

The popular comedian was very impressed with Cardi B, uses her as an example for other Nigerian celebrities to emulate her

According to what he said,” Cardi B is not on the same level as Nigerian celebs but still, yet she was more humble than them, a Grammy winner and a big international star for that matter, she did not display any form of pride”. He continued by saying,” Nigerian stars begin to feel pompous once people start paying then ordinary N2.5 million for shows and they feel they are no longer on the same level as others”.

Nigerians are no doubt fun-loving people who also put in their best when it comes to hosting guests and it is obvious that the Bodak Yellow rapper was well received and she enjoyed her short stay in the country
