‘The Year Of Return’: Rapper Ludacris Completes His Cycle In Ghana
Ludacris says his journey to Ghana is part of his new beginning

U.S. rapper Ludacris is proud of his African roots and was recently spotted in Ghana to celebrate the event known as ‘The Year of Return.

The Year of Return’ is a Ghanaian initiative inviting all her sons and daughters back home to explore, invest and learn. Since its inception, many black Americans have trooped to the nation to find out more about their cultural history.

This year, Ludacris was one of such persons as he shared a photo of himself wearing a white T-shirt with the words, “The Year of Return Ghana 2019.”

In his Instagram caption, the hip hop star wrote about the ancestors never giving up hope and that they empowered his return. He also said that the chains had been broken and that he was beginning a new cycle.

Christopher Brian Bridges (professionally known as Ludacris) is an American rapper and actor who has won a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Critic’s Choice Award, an MTV Award, and 3 Grammy Awards.

He is the founder of Disturbing tha Peace and broke into the mainstream, achieving success in the early 2000s. As an actor he has featured in films including Crash (2004), Gamer (2009), New Year’s Eve (2011) and is best known for playing Tej Parker in The Fast and Furious film series.
