The talk show host says the money is being channelled to America’s Food Fund, an initiative co-founded by actor Leonardo DiCaprio and Laurene Powell Jobs.

The goal of AFF is to provide food for communities hit hard by the virus. It is supported by the Ford Foundation and Apple.

Oprah revealed that $1 million will go into food provision for the needy, while the other $9 million will go to other COVID-19 related relief efforts in different regions across the country.

Oprah joins other celebs in the noble gesture, including Hollywood couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively who gave $400,000 to New York hospitals after initially donating $1 million to Feeding America and Food Bank Canada.
