The television producer and philanthropist is donating $10 million dollars to help people struggling in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.

She announced the gesture yesterday, revealing that she’s giving $10 million to help feed hungry Americans.

The talk show host says the money is being channelled to America’s Food Fund, an initiative co-founded by actor and Laurene Powell Jobs.

The goal of AFF is to provide food for communities hit hard by the virus. It is supported by the Ford Foundation and .

Oprah revealed that $1 million will go into food provision for the needy, while the other $9 million will go to other COVID-19 related relief efforts in different regions across the country.
