Katy Perry has reacted to the rumors circulating that a possible collaboration with fellow artist Taylor Swift is in the works.
Fans have been speculating for weeks about a possible duet featuring the two singers, assuming that they have dropped hints on social media.
During a recent interview with Hits Radio Breakfast released on Friday, May 15, 2020, Katy Perry addressed the rumors.
“No, it’s not correct”, she said. “But the fans are definitely excited for something like that to happen in the future, and I’m always open.”
When asked about the possibility of Taylor appearing on her upcoming album, Katy replied:
No! Not as yet. I mean, the fans are so fun. They do search far and wide for Easter eggs. And we do put them in our visuals and in lyrics videos and music videos and content we created. Not everything is an Easter egg. Some things are just flowers.”
As wonderful as a duet between the two might be, Katy was pretty obvious on that not happening at the moment. Fans will have to just keep dreaming and hoping until it becomes a reality.
