R & B singer Ne-Yo gave a touching performance at George Floyd’s funeral yesterday, Tuesday, June 9, 2020.
The service, which was well-attended by celebrities and a host of other personalities, took place at the Fountain of Grace Church in Houston, Texas.
40-year-old Ne-Yo gave a soulful rendition of It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday by Boyz II Men, fighting back tears at a point where his emotions left him almost losing control.
After his performance, the artist shared a few words, sending his love to the Floyd family, and to “anybody that has been lost.”
Fifty states are protesting at the same time. This man changed the world, changed the world for better. I appreciate the sacrifice, my brother. I genuinely do.”
