As fans get ready to have their minds blown with the arrival of F9: The Fast Saga, star, and producer Vin Diesel is taking a look at the script of a female-led spinoff.

Undoubtedly one of the year’s most anticipated blockbusters, F9: The Fast Saga will be released in May 2020 and will feature some of the most insane action sequences ever seen.

With the addition of wrestler-turned-actor John Cena, the resurrection of Han (Sung Kang), and the unexpected return of Jordana Brewster’s Mia, the ninth film in the franchise will bring a new definition to the word ‘awesome’ when it lands.

Confident of the franchise’s popularity and commercial success, producers took a risk with the first spinoff Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw (starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham) and it paid off.

Hobbs and Shaw over $760 million worldwide, proof that fans totally dig anything set in the world of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family.

Just last month, Diesel revealed future plans for the franchise while chatting with MTV International and when asked about the direction of the series, he said:

I’ve created a female spinoff, and that script comes in next month. So we will see.

With the latest news of the producer and actor taking a look at the script, it might be safe to assume that the film will be given the green light.

With the likes of the solid female stars Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, and Vanessa Kirby, the possibility of a female-led spinoff is an exciting prospect that ought not to be ignored.
