‘Planet Of The Apes’ From Disney & Fox Will Not Continue The Story Of The Last Film
The story of Caesar will not be continued

The latest information shows that Disney and Fox Studios’ upcoming Planet of the Apes movie will be a reboot and not a sequel.

News of the collaborative effort to helm a movie in the franchise was announced a few months ago, and Maze Runner director Wes Ball was brought on board to write and direct.

OduNews.com has learned that the film will not continue the events of the previous one as it will be a reboot. This shows that Disney has different plans than what we expected.

The goal is to begin shooting later this year and our best guess is that it means it will most likely be released sometime in 2022.

‘Planet Of The Apes’ From Disney & Fox Will Not Continue The Story Of The Last Film

In the last movie, War for the Planet of the Apes, the great ape leader Caesar (Andy Serkis) is mortally wounded following the war with the humans. He dies peacefully after the rest of his kind makes a successful journey to the oasis.

I guess it’s only natural that Disney would want to tell a different story as Ceasar’s demise marks the end of an era. It is hoped that the plot will be even better than that of the last ones.
