Following the success of last year’s ‘Fast & Furious’ spinoff ‘Hobbs $ Shaw’, actor Dwayne Johnson has revealed that a sequel is in development.
‘Hobbs & Shaw’ starred Johnson and Jason Statham the two mismatched but competent agents who teamed up to take on Brixton (Idris Elba), a cyber-genetically enhanced terrorist working for Eteon.
The bromance of the two stars, coupled with the unending bickering and the frenetic action sequences made the spinoff resonate well with fans.
Johnson recently shared an update on the sequel via an Instagram live Q & A session, saying:
“We are developing now the next film, the next Hobbs and Shaw movie, and I’m pretty excited about it.”
He further said that he and the rest of the team had to figure out the direction the upcoming film would go. He thanked fans around the world for making the first movie a success.
