A film on the life of late singer Whitney Houston is currently in development.
The movie is titled I Wanna Dance With Somebody and will be written by Anthony McCarten (the writer behind the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody).
Stella Meggie (director of the Issa Rae romance flick The Photograph) will direct.
Music producer Clive Davis is working with the estate of the late singer for the execution of the project which will be produced by Pat Houston.
Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was an American singer and actress who was cited as the most awarded female artist of all time by Guinness World Records.
She remains one of the bestselling music artists of all time with 200 million records sold worldwide.
Houston released seven studio albums and two soundtrack albums, all of which were certified diamond, multi-platinum, platinum and gold.
