Popular songstress Mary J. Blige is a cop who must unravel the mystery of an unusual death in horror thriller Body Cam.
Blige has had a stellar musical career and is expanding her acting horizons, earning her three Golden Globe Award nominations.
She currently plays Cha-Cha in the Netflix superhero series The Umbrella Academy‘s and has plays the lead in Body Cam.
The official synopsis reads:
When a routine traffic stop results in the unexplained, grisly death of her colleague, a cop (Blige) realizes footage of the incident will play for her eyes only.
As the attacks mount, she races to understand the supernatural force behind them.”
Mary J. Blige made her acting debut in 1998 in the sitcom The Jamie Foxx Show, playing a preacher’s daughter who wants to sing more than gospel music.
Body Cam will be made available on digital on May 19th, on demand on June 2, and DVD on July 14 from Paramount Home Entertainment.
