The Hollywood Reporter has disclosed that Apple has canceled the release of its movie The Banker after Bernard Garrett Jr., the son of one of the film’s main characters, was accused of molesting his half-sisters.

Apple had canceled the movie’s premiere at the AFI Festival in Hollywood earlier this week when reports that Garret’s step-sisters (who are 15 years younger than him) alleged that he sexually molested them when he lived with them in their home so many years ago.

As a result of the allegations, a lot of the promotional material with Garret’s name has been removed.

The Banker is based on the life of Bernard Garrett Sr. and Joe Morris, two black men who hired a white man to help them in their growing real estate business.
