A cryptic tweet shared by wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista seems to link him to the role of Bane, one of Batman’s main foes.

Dave Bautista (known as Batista during his wrestling days) is one of Hollywood’s in-demand actors who is climbing the ladder and taking on more notable roles in the industry.

Starting out with roles in B movies, Bautista went to get a prominent part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Drax the Destroyer, the dim-witted but efficient blade-wielding assassin who becomes a part of the group of misfits known as the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Bautista’s movie resume has since become as impressive as that of an A-Lister, with a role in a James Bond movie and other tent poles. He has even proven to be adept at the comedy genre with a role in Stuber opposite Kumail Nanjiani.

The burly actor recently visited Warner Bros. Studios and shared a post on his Twitter handle with the caption: “It won’t come to you so get after it!!”

What the above means is hard to say but we do know that with the ongoing production of DC’s The Batman undergoing second unit filming presently, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to assume that Bautista could be in talks to play a part in the film. And what other part would perfectly suit him other than that of the extremely muscular character known as Bane?

At approximately six foot four inches and built with a physique that most weight-lifters would envy, Bautista is the perfect actor to breathe life into the villainous character. His acting may not be perfect but he would embody what Bane stands for.

Casting Bautista to play Bane would be a smart move on the part of Warner Bros. and we hope that is the case. We will surely find out soon enough.
