Those who have said their goodbyes to the acclaimed series 24 from Fox should take back their farewells as the studio is looking to make a reboot of the show.
Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, 24 starred Kiefer Sutherland as the counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer. It ran for eight seasons and comprised of 24 episodes played out in real-time.
Fox revisited the world of Jack Bauer in the sequel series 24: Legacy and the miniseries 24: Live Another Day which featured the return of Bauer.
Apparently, the company can’t seem to get enough of the series as producer Manny Coto while promoting his upcoming A.I. series next revealed that plans were being made to bring back the series in some form.
All I know is they’re still interested in 24 to bring it back in some form. I’m pretty sure they probably want to figure out some way to bring Kiefer back in some way.
There is another one I believe in development. There was a counterterrorism one in development and I think that’s still in development. I talked to Howard Gordon not long ago. I think they’re still working on coming up with an idea. I don’t know how far along they are or where it is but I know it’s not going away.Manny Coto – geektyrant.com
It would surely be exciting to see Sutherland back to play the highly efficient Bauer as his performance was the series driving force.
