EFCC Invades "Yahoo Academy" In Akwa Ibom, Arrests Operators And Trainees
EFCC parades operators and trainees of Yahoo Academy in Akwa Ibom uncovered

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Thursday, November 28, 2019, stormed a building renowned as “Yahoo Academy” around Ikot Ibiok village following a tip and 23 persons were arrested.

According to the cyber crime-fighting body, the suspects were between the ages of 19 and 35 and upon been taken to the Uyo Zonal Office, they confessed that they were undergoing training in various aspects of cyber criminality such as Love Scam, Online Trading Scam, Theft Identity etc.

Among those arrested are the trainees and operators of the “Yahoo Academy”

This isn’t the first such arrest has been made by EFCC. In  May 2019,  EFCC arrested eight students of an unnamed “Yahoo Yahoo school” located at 14, Animashaun Street, Progressive Estate, Ojodu Berger, Lagos, while receiving lectures in internet fraud activities.
