Following the abduction of Nigerian artiste, Duncan Mighty this morning, the Imo police command has released a press release stating that the artiste had not been kidnapped but arrested over a fraud case connected to Senator Rochas Okorocha.
According to the state police, Duncan Mighty had signed a deal worth 11 million naira with the senator to promote and arrange a collaboration with other top artists and sign M2, ‘one of his boys’ under YOUNG WEALTH record label owned by Duncan Mighty.
The singer was said to have collected his payment and refused to fulfill his own part of the deal.
The police also revealed that the singer had been arrested before now and had been bailed after he said he would return the money after the contract had been terminated
He had gotten a letter from the representative of the former Governor, terminating the contract to enable him to refund the money, and since then he absconded which had led to re-arrest this morning.
