Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, stated the Punch Newspaper is free to tag the President as ;Major General’.
Odunews.com had earlier reported that the media firm released an editorial on Wednesday insisting that President Muhammadu Buhari will be refereed to as ‘major General’ in all their publications.
Reacting to the editorial, Femi Adesina said
If you decide to call him Major General, he wasn’t dashed the rank, he earned it. So, you are not completely out of order. The fact that you can do so is even another testimony to press freedom in Nigeria.
