Democrats Refuse To Further President Trump's Impeachment
US President Donald Trump

Democrats have refused to start proceedings after House impeached president Trump on Wednesday. They have argued that the Republicans controlled senate is refusing witnesses and will not hold a fair trial.

The senate numbers which effortlessly favored the Republicans means that Trump is most likely to be acquitted of all the charges against him.

In a series of tweets, the president accused the Democrats of not wanting to go to trial because their “case is so bad”.
He tweeted: “So after the Democrats gave me no Due Process in the House, no lawyers, no witnesses, no nothing, they now want to tell the Senate how to run their trial. Actually, they have zero proof of anything, they will never even show up. They want out. I want an immediate trial!”

However, for the Democrats to be successful in their aims, the house dominated democrats will have to send the articles of impeachment to the Senate-dominated house.

The House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi  is stylishly halting the process, saying that Senate rules, is not acceptable to the Democrats.

Unfortunately, the Senate’s Republican leader, Mitch McConnell, will determine the terms of the trial. But the Democrats want him to provide details on which witnesses and what testimony will be allowed.

An attempt to make a cunning twist by the Democrats.

One will recall that the Republicans have 53 seats of the 100 seats in the Senate House and impeachment will be a two-thirds majority in favor.

The Democrats emphasizing that the trial has to be fair, with senators acting as impartial jurors.

Perhaps the Democrats are throwing a cunning strategy towards the Senate.
