The protest commenced last night, Tuesday, May 26, 2020, when hundreds of people took to the streets with banners reading ‘KKKops’, ‘Again?’, ‘Black Lives Matter’ and ‘Justice For George.’

There were also similar chants of “I can’t breathe” and “No justice, no peace” which broke out among the demonstrators as they eventually marched more than two miles to a police precinct, causing some damage along the way.

Things got really tense when the protesters met police officers dressed in riot gear who fired tear gas canisters and projectiles into the crowd.

Some of the protesters kicked the canisters back to the police and a makeshift barricade was put in place across the street from the station.

George Floyd, a black American male, died on Monday, May 25, 2020, after a Minneapolis cop refused to ease his knee from the back of his neck after repeated pleas from ‘suspect’ who kept saying he couldn’t breathe.

The officer responsible for the act has been fired and the tragic incident has sparked a cry for justice on Twitter as many Americans continue to express extreme distaste over the occurrence.
