WWE Crown Jewel 2019 kicked off in Saudi Arabia yesterday night and was another successful outing for the company as fans were treated to memorable matches.
The event started with Brock Lesnar facing off against Cain Velasquez in a match that was quite disappointing as it was too short.
A Best Tag Team In The World title was won, the Saudi wrestler Mansoor returned to face the powerful Ceasaro, Tyson Fury showed up dressed in a traditional Saudi attire and his match with Braun Strowman was nothing more than a joke (at a point, the boxer executed a gimmick invented by the Undertaker).
The promising superstar Lacey Evans fought in a fast-paced match against Natalya, WWE’s resident superhero Ricochet donned his own superhero costume in the Team Flair Vs Team Hogan match, which saw the towering wrestlers of the former group battle their relatively smaller opponents in what could be said to be a ‘Davids Vs Goliaths’ match.
The main event (WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins Vs Bray Wyatt’s ‘The Fiend’ for the title) saw the red lights focus on them once again and this shouldn’t have been as the two competitors weren’t well illuminated. This time, the match wasn’t stopped and a winner emerged.
