The Police used tear gas to disperse a crowd at the Lekki Tollgate. They did this following a procession during which many people were being remembered for their participation in a shooting incident that happened a couple of years ago.
Exactly two years ago, the entire nation was thrown into mourning following shootings in the Lekki Tollgate allegedly carried out by the Nigerian Army to stop the youths protesting against police brutality.
Amnesty International reported that Nigerian Army officers shot at protesters.
The youths were at the same venue today, in remembrance of the sad event.
