Rey Mysterio looks to achieve the seemingly impossible in a career-defining match against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series 2019.
At the upcoming pay-per-view event, Mysterio will fight to avenge his family after he challenged the ferocious Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship Title on Sunday the 24th of November, 2019.
Lesnar crossed the line when he assaulted Mysterio’s son Dominik and the pint-sized superstar enlisted the help of Cain Velasquez (the UFC star who defeated Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight Title in 2010) to beat Lesnar.
At WWE Crown Jewel, Lesnar prevailed over Velasquez, thanks to his highly effective submission maneuver which made his opponent tap out. Mysterio had interfered by hitting Lesnar repeatedly with a chair, leading to the much larger wrestler having to beat a hasty retreat.
Lesnar, however, isn’t one to forgive or forget and quit Smackdown for the sole purpose of going to Raw to hunt Mysterio.
Mysterio had unexpectedly launched a second attack with what looked like a baton and Lesnar was left lying helpless in a heap on the ground. The Underdog had subsequently issued a challenge to Lesnar at Survivor Series and the match was officially confirmed.
The odds are stacked against Mysterio but the little man has made a career out of defeating much bigger and powerful foes. He has proved on numerous occasions that size doesn’t really matter.
Lesnar, on the other hand, is on the best form of his WWE career and his remarkable strength, combat skills, and brutality have made him one of the most formidable wrestlers of all-time. He is also very quick for a man his size and his adaptability has given him an edge over his rivals countless times.
When Survivor Series takes place on November 25, one of the two seasoned superstars will be left standing and only when that day arrives will his identity be revealed.
