The second trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog is a visual delight and movie buffs are in for some thrilling action.
Those who played the Sega games many years ago will never forget the character of Sonic as the 32-bit video game was a true classic that was enjoyed by a lot of gamers back then.
Adapting video games for the screen has been a trend in Hollywood lately, but most of them have left a bitter taste as they fell short of expectations.
Well, let us hope the blue-bodied speedster’s story will be added to the successful ones when he makes his big-screen debut next year in the upcoming adventure sci-fi Sonic the Hedgehog.
Directed by Jeff Fowler, the movie sees Tom Wachowski, a police officer who teams up with the title character to defeat the evil Dr. Robonik.
The trailer is packed with the video game character showing off his impressive powers, briefly letting us see his planet before his journey to earth where he befriends Wachowski (played by James Marsden).
Renowned comedian Jim Carrey is the antagonist and his wacky take on the villainous scientist should be fun to watch but a little more than the display we see in the trailer would be considered too much of a distraction.
The film will be released on the 14th of February, 2020. Take a look at the trailer below:
