This episode of Monday Night Raw featured a massive NXT statement as their boss Triple H tried to recruit Kevin Owens.
Things started with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair entering an unlikely alliance to take on the duo of The Iconics. After the match, a handful of women from NXT got involved and I guess this is all part of a promo for the upcoming Survivor Series.
The Street Prophets interfered in a match between a member of The OC and Umberto and Bobby Lashley (accompanied by Lana) fought No Way Jose in what turned out to be a brief and imposing statement from the black-skinned powerhouse. The whole PDA (Public Display of Affection) between Lashley and Lana is really uncalled for at this point as the WWE showrunners should know that there are children in the arena.
Seth Rollins battled Andrade and Zelina Vega was present outside the ring as usual. She interfered (when doesn’t she ever?) and was banned from ringside by the officiating referee. From then on, it became a genuine contest between two young talented superstars and it looked to be phenomenal until yet another interruption got in the way of things.
Kevin Owens brawled with Drew McIntyre. Owens may be the most underrated superstar in the WWE roster as he proved to be more than a match for the intense McIntyre. Triple H made his entrance at the end of the match and tried to talk Owens into joining the NXT and things got physical.
Paul Heyman speaking from the big screen said that the Survivor Series match between his client Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio would be a “public torture session” for Mysterio and the latter responded by reminding Lesnar what he could do with the steel pipe, hinting that at the next pay-per-view event, his trusty instrument would be handy.
Randy Orton and Ricochet squared off against The Viking Raiders in a tag team match. The latter team proved to be quite a handful for The Viper and The Resident Superhero as skill and talent were matched with brawn and strength. But team Smackdown made an unexpected entrance and even more invading NXT stars entered the fray, leading to an all-out free for all.
