Disney is firing on all cylinders with the online awareness for the upcoming movie Mulan, and its second trailer pretty much summarizes the whole movie.
The protagonist makes the choice of going to war in her father’s stead and she faces what seems to be unbeatable odds as Disney has added a mysterious twist to the film in the form of an antagonist witch which Mulan crosses paths with.
The first part of the video clip shows how much is expected from the titular character as her father schools her on how important it is that she brings honor to the family. This drives her to don her disguise and go to war to save him.
The action seems to emulate the films of Asian cinema with the invading Huns looking as intimidating as is expected for being the fearsome fighters that they are. Some drama will also go a long way in making the story more appealing to general audiences because the fights alone will not do that.
Mulan is produced by Walt Disney Pictures with a screenplay from Elizabeth Martin, Lauren Hynek, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver. It will be arriving in cinemas on March 27, 2020.
