BREAKING: Plateau Senator Ignatius Longjan Dies At 75

The Senator Representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Ignatius Longjan, aged 75, has passed away.

This is coming barely two months after the demise of a Senator from Imo state, Benjamin Uwajumogu.

Longjan was said to have died in a Turkish hospital, and the news was reported today by his media aid, Mr. Wulime Goyit.

PUNCH reports that the death of the Senator was also confirmed by a colleague of the deceased in the Senate.

The Senator said “Yes, the man is dead but it is either his family, the Plateau State Government or the President of the Senate that could give an official statement on that.

“I saw the unfortunate news on Senators Whatsapp group this morning. I don’t have details about his death but he has been sick for some time now.”
