Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has issued out new measures to contain the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in Lagos.
The Governor directed that market places where groceries and drugs are not sold are to be shutdown. Meaning all other market places remain closed from Thursday.
Sanwo-Olu made this known in a televised address on Tuesday to give updates on the COVID-19 pandemic in Lagos.
The Governor also stated that restaurants in the state should only sell food in ‘take-away’ packs to their customers.
He also noted that gatherings should be reduced to the barest minimum in the state and that any essential gatherings should not exceed 25 persons.
He urged residents of the state to avoid partying or any other events that could lead to people gathering together.
