Nasarawa State has recorded its first case of COVID-19.
The Punch reports that the case was confirmed on Tuesday April 28, 2020 by the state’s Director of Public Health, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu.
Adamu said that the test results of one of the persons tested came back positive.
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced late Monday that it had confirmed 64 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number in the country to 1,337.
Breakdown of the new cases shows that 34 were reported in Lagos, 15 in Abuja, 11 in Borno and 2 each in Taraba and Gombe States.
