The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kano has increased to 825 after the state confirmed 64 new cases on Sunday.
The state Ministry of Health who made this known via its twitter handle also reported that 36 COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in the state.
The Ministry noted that 18 patients were discharged and one death recorded on Friday, May 17 in the state.
It also added that there were 678 active cases with total number of 111 discharged.
“Kano State confirms additional 64 positive cases, 18 patients successfully discharged and one death of COVID-19 recorded in the state,” it said.
The ministry further enjoined residents to observe safety protocols and pray for an end to the pandemic in the state.
