Nigeria has recorded 229 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 8,068.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control disclosed this in a tweet on Monday night.
The country’s COVID-19 related deaths stand at 233 while 2,311 persons have recovered from the disease.
Of the new cases recorded, 90 was reported in Lagos, 27 in Katsina,26 in Imo, 23 in Kano, 14 in FCT, 12 in Plateau, 9 in Ogun, 7 in Delta, 5 in Borno, 5 in Rivers, 4 in Oyo, 3 in Gombe, 2 in Anambra and 1 each in Bayelasa and Anambra states respectively.
