Kogi state government says the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) lied about a third COVID-19 case being recorded in the state.

The state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Saka Haruna, said no sample was sent to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control that could warrant a third case.
Odunews.com had earlier reported that the NCDC announced that a new COVID-19 case has been recorded in Kogi state bringing the total to three.
Reacting to the NCDC’s report through a facebook post, the Commissioner stated that the state government is not aware of the fresh case.
“The purported New Case: We are not aware of who the patient is, where and when the Test was conducted! No sample sent from KG,” he said.
