Rivers state governor Nyesome Wike, on Monday threw a subtle jibe at the All Progressives Congress over the disqualification of Godwin Obaseki, from the party’s governorship primary in Edo state.
Wike, reacting to Obaseki’s disqualification via his twitter handle, said he was disqualified by ‘someone who doesn’t have a certificate.’
He said: Obaseki was disqualified by someone who doesn’t have a certificate, what an irony !

Obaseki who was disqualified by the APC’s screening panel on the basis of discrepancies in his certificates have fueled rumours about his planned defection to the Peoples Democratic Party after he visited two PDP governors in the South South zone.
On Sunday, Obaseki met with Wike as well as Akwa Ibom state governor, Emmanuel Udom who are both PDP members.
Wike’s comment could be an indication that Obaseki’s visit could be about his political fate which appears to be hanging in the wire after his disqualification.
