President Muhammadu Buhari has given his personal security personnel the boot due to their involvement in the recent crisis that rocked the Presidential Villa.
The First Lady, Aisha Buhari, and the assistant to the president, Sabiu ‘Tunde’ Yusuf had been reportedly embroiled in a faceoff that led to shots being fired.
Sahara Reporters reports that President Buhari has fired his Chief Personal Security Officer, Chief Detail to the President, ADC to the First Lady, Escort Commander, ADC National Defense Council, and 37 others from the villa.
It had been disclosed earlier that the president was deeply angered by the embarrassing incident in Aso Villa, and was preparing to do away with those involved in dragging his name through the mud.
President Buhari had made the decision after his nephew Mamman Daura and one of his closest confidants was seen crying as he made his way to his office.
Daura was said to have told the president that his security aides were not only after Yusuf’s life but his own as well. Buhari then gave the nod for all individuals who were a part of the alleged threat to be removed.
