Suspended chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, has written to the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu for his release on bail.
Magu is facing a probe panel set up by President Muhammadu over allegations of corruption and insubordination.
The suspended acting boss of the anti-corruption agency spent his fourth night in detention on Thursday.
In a letter dated July 10, 2020, Magu’s lawyer, Oluwatosin Ojaomo, asked the IGP to grant bail to his client on “self recognizance”.
Unlike Magu, every other person who has appeared before the panel has been allowed to go home after the appearance.
