The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has fined Channels Television, AIT and Arise TV N3m each over their “unprofessional coverage” of the EndSARS protests and the crisis that followed it.

The NBC acting Director-General Prof Armstrong Idachaba announced that sanction at a press conference in Abuja on Monday.
He warned that this will be the last warning before a heavier sanction will be introduced.
The DG also announced that DAAR Communications will be fined separately for using an unverifiable news item on the fire incident at the National Christian Centre. The DG noted the retraction by the station but said that there must be consequences.
