The management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, has ordered students and lecturers of the institution to resume classes, OduNews.com can authoritatively confirm.

The school’s management stated that its academic activities will resume on Thursday, May 26th, 2022.

This was contained in a circular titled “Continuation of the first semester of the 2021/2022 academic session” and signed by the school’s registrar, Kayode Ogunleye.

In the circular seen by OduNews, the school stated that the directive to resume was given by the Visitor to the school, Oyo state governor Seyi Makinde.

The circular reads, “Upon the directive of the Visitor to the University, the Management of  hereby informs all staff and students that the University will continue its academic activities for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Session on Thursday May 26, 2022.

“The amended Academic Calendar for the semester will soon be made available.

“Staff and students are hereby enjoined to abide with this directive.

“On behalf of the Acting Vice Chancellor. Prof M.O. Liasu, I welcome all students back to the campus and wish them a crisis-free semester.”

The Academic Staff Union of Universities embarked on the ongoing  since February 14 and has since extended it over claims that the federal government has not shown enough willingness to meet their requests.
