Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has made a public statement mocking his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to Sowore, Tinubu slept through an important meeting that they both attended and did not speak a single word during the session. Sowore also shared photographic evidence of Tinubu sleeping on his official Twitter page.
In the tweets, Sowore wrote that the meeting was attended by party leaders and presidential candidates with the national peace committee in Abuja. He also mentioned that Tinubu’s party chair spoke on his behalf, as Tinubu was asleep. Sowore went on to express his concern about Nigeria being in the hands of “hostage takers” and that the country cannot continue in this manner.
He wrote:
