The meeting, which began at approximately 4:21 pm, involves the former governors collectively known as the G-5 governors. Alongside Governor Makinde, the G-5 governors in attendance are Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.

Notably, Governor Wike has made multiple visits to the State House within the past week.

It is worth recalling that during the February 25 presidential election, the G-5 governors, who were then part of the PDP, worked against the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

The purpose and agenda of the meeting remain undisclosed, leading to speculation about its significance and potential implications for the political landscape. As the closed-door discussions continue, the outcome of the meeting and any subsequent developments will be closely monitored.
