Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State emerged triumphant in the recently concluded governorship election, securing a total of 175,196 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared his victory on Monday, dealing a decisive blow to his closest rival, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 110,108 votes.
