Akintoye Benson, who served as an advisor to Musiliu Akinsanya, better known as MC Oluomo and the leader of the Lagos State Park and Garages Management, has tragically lost his life.
Footage that went viral showed Benson inside a severely damaged car, leading to reports that he succumbed to injuries from a vehicular accident on the Third Mainland Bridge late Thursday evening.
A close associate of the deceased, Ogunseye Vincent, took to his Facebook to confirm the sorrowful event, reminiscing on Benson’s dynamic personality and ambitious nature.
“The news of your passing came to me as a rude shock. You were a vibrant man with high hopes and vision.
“Though the memory we shared remains forever, I take solace in the trust that Olodumare will grant your soul a peaceful rest. Sail well to eternity, Comrade Akintoye Benson (Baba Ogun),” Vincent expressed.
Benson held the position of chairman for the Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria (TOOAN) in Zone H until his untimely demise.
Attempts to get a statement from Akinsanya were unsuccessful, as his contact number was unreachable at the time this news piece was prepared.
