Village in Benue State Ravaged by Suspected Herdsmen Attack

A significant number of villagers are believed to have lost their lives, with many more sustaining injuries following an assault on Ugbobi community within the Apa Local Government Area of Benue State by individuals thought to be herdsmen.

Reports from OduNews indicate that the local populace has abandoned their dwellings, allowing the assailants to destroy their homes and pilfer food supplies.

A local resident, Eric Amodu, expressed his distress over the continuous onslaught, which, according to him, has persisted for over two hours without any intervention from law enforcement agencies.

He stated, “It’s been 2 hours since this morning attack began and still no security forces has made any effort. Obvious conspiracy.”
